Roasted garlic is a simple, versatile ingredient that turns everyday dishes into something extraordinary. Its mellow, caramelized sweetness adds depth and richness, far removed from the pungency of raw garlic. Whether you’re blending it into mashed potatoes, spreading it on garlic bread, or whipping it into compound butter, roasted garlic is a kitchen staple worth keeping on hand.
Ingredients:
3 heads of garlic
1 ½ tsp avocado oil (½ tsp per head)
Sea salt
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F.
Slice the tops off the garlic heads to expose the cloves.
Drizzle ½ teaspoon of avocado oil over each head, letting it soak into the cloves. Sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt.
Wrap each head in parchment paper first, followed by tin foil, sealing tightly to lock in moisture.
Place the wrapped garlic on a baking sheet and bake for 1 ½ hours, or until the cloves are golden and your kitchen smells incredible.
Let the garlic cool slightly, then squeeze the cloves out of their skins. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
